Welcome to the Redbacks website

The "Redbacks" swim club, is located in the grounds of Ormiston College, south-east of Brisbane on Morten Bay.

We are a small friendly club. At the "Redbacks" swimmers are encouraged to better their own times each club night, so essentially they compete against themselves. This has great rewards in building self esteem and confidence in children. You don’t have to be “Thorpie” to participate, just be able to swim 25m in any (or all) of the four strokes.

Club nights will be held on Friday nights this year, with registration from 6.00pm finishing approx. 8pm. Food is available at the canteen each week so dinner for the family is not a problem. Children can compete in carnivals throughout the season if they wish. The season will culminate with Trophy presentation night in April 2009 where most members receive a trophy.
