About us

The Redbacks swimming club, is located in the grounds of Ormiston College, south-east of Brisbane on Morten Bay.

The Redbacks, Ormiston College Amateur Swimming Club was founded in 1999 and 2000 by James Harwood and founding president Vicky Eadie and her committee.

We are a small friendly club, our swimmers are encouraged to better their own times each club night, so essentially they compete against themselves. This has great rewards in building self esteem and confidence in children.

Under the training of James Harwood and his dedicated team of coaches, the Redbacks have seen a number of our swimmers achieve National qualifying times, become State medalist and Qld junior champions.
