Club night

Club night will be held on a Friday night (see season program) with registration commencing at 6pm. Each swimmer is responsible for registering their race choices each club night to ensure all swimmers are swimming in the correct heats. NO registrations will be accepted after 6.25pm. (This process ensures that club nights run smoothly and are finished at a reasonable time).

Marshalling:
Swimmers must report to the marshalling area when their event is announced. Races will NOT be delayed for swimmers who are not present or who are not ready.
Times:
After the completion of each race, swimmer’s times will be recorded. These times will be available to view on the notice board by the Monday.
Strokes and Distance Events:
Sprint Events are held in Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly. These strokes are swum over 25 and 50 metre distances.
Distance Freestyle Events are held over 100 and 200 metre distances.
Individual Medley Events are held over 100 and 200 metre distances.
50m distance events can be swum by the younger swimmers who would like to practice their distance races but feel they cannot swim 100m. 1 point will be awarded for swimmers 7 years and under only.
Program:
The strokes to be swum each night will be determined by the committee and are listed on the season program.
Cancellation:
Club night will only be cancelled in the event of a thunderstorm or similar dangerous conditions. The Executive Committee will make this decision on the night by 6.00pm. Club night will still be held in normal rain. If it is decided to cancel the night due to weather conditions, before the program is complete, points will only be awarded for the events that have been completed by all nominated swimmers in each division.
